200 Hours +HIC Yoga Teacher Training by Nihan Hantal

200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training

Baku, Azerbaijan · November–December 2026

Led by Nihan Hantal

Asistans : Leyla Suleymanova , Firuze Haciyeva

*International Yoga Alliance Certification

A journey beyond becoming a yoga teacher.
A journey into understanding yoga, yourself, and the way you hold space for others.

This 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training is an immersive education designed for those who want to deepen their personal practice, understand yoga beyond the physical postures, and develop the knowledge and confidence to teach.

Led by Nihan Hantal, yoga teacher and teacher trainer since 2008, the program brings together traditional yogic wisdom, modern movement knowledge, teaching methodology, philosophy, meditation and personal exploration.

The training combines in-person immersion in Baku with live online study, allowing us to go deep without compressing the entire experience into a few intensive weeks.

Whether your intention is to become a yoga teacher or simply to experience yoga at a much deeper level, you are welcome.

Training Dates:

IN PERSON · BAKU

2–6 November 2026 / 10:00-17:00

Our first five-day immersion is where the journey begins.

We will establish the foundations of the practice, begin working with asana, anatomy, alignment, breath, meditation, philosophy and teaching methodology, while creating the group connection that will continue throughout the training.

LIVE ONLINE

10-12-17-19  November 18:00 - 20:00

These live sessions allow us to continue the learning between the two Baku immersions.

We will deepen theoretical subjects, philosophy, sequencing, teaching methodology and other course material while staying connected as a group.

FINAL IN-PERSON IMMERSION · BAKU

4–6 December 2026 10:00-17:00

We return to Baku for our closing weekend.

This part of the training brings everything together through integration, teaching practice, feedback, refinement and completion of the journey.

Trainees teach their Final Class Assignments and get their International Certificate.

Certification

Upon successfully completing all required elements of the program, students will receive their 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training certification.

International Yoga Alliance Certification / RYS 200 pathway.

Graduates who meet the applicable Yoga Alliance requirements may use their training toward registration as a RYT 200.

What You Will Study?

Asana & Intelligent Practice

Develop a deeper understanding of yoga postures—not simply how a pose looks, but how it works.

We will explore alignment, transitions, modifications, use of props, energetic intention and different ways of adapting the practice to individual bodies.

The goal is not to create one “perfect” expression of a posture.

It is to learn how to see the person in front of you.

Teaching Methodology

Knowing yoga and teaching yoga are two different skills.

You will learn how to create and confidently guide a class, including:

  • sequencing and class architecture

  • verbal cueing

  • demonstration

  • observation

  • modifications and variations

  • holding space

  • developing your authentic teaching voice

  • working with different levels of students

  • creating meaningful themes without over-teaching

Throughout the training, you will gradually move from student to teacher.

Anatomy & Movement

Understanding the body gives a teacher both confidence and responsibility.

We will study functional anatomy and movement principles relevant to yoga so that you can understand how different bodies move—and why the same posture may need to look different from one person to another.

Rather than memorizing anatomy in isolation, we will relate it directly to movement and teaching.

Pranayama & Breath

The breath is one of yoga’s most powerful tools.

You will learn foundational pranayama practices, their traditional context and how to introduce breathwork safely and intelligently into both your own practice and your teaching.

Meditation

Meditation will be part of the training from the beginning.

We will explore different approaches to meditation and learn how to develop a sustainable personal practice as well as how to guide others.

Because before we can teach stillness, we need to experience it ourselves.

Yoga Philosophy

Yoga is much larger than asana.

We will explore the philosophical foundations of yoga and look at how ancient teachings can be understood and lived in a contemporary world.

Rather than treating philosophy as something historical or abstract, we will ask:

What does this teaching mean in my life?
How does it influence the way I practice?
And how does it change the way I teach?

Topics include the Yoga Sutras, the Eight Limbs of Yoga, yogic ethics and key philosophical concepts.

Finding Your Voice as a Teacher

One of the most important elements of this training is learning not to imitate another teacher.

You will be encouraged to discover your own language, your own presence and your own way of sharing yoga.

A powerful teacher does not need to perform.

They need to understand what they are teaching, communicate clearly and create an environment in which students feel safe enough to explore.

Your individuality is part of your teaching.
